Pastor
Father Marc Paveglio
651-357-1201
Ministry: I shepherd the People of God at Saint Rose of Lima through Christ's threefold office of priest, prophet, and king – meaning to sanctify, teach, and govern. I call forth the gifts of the baptized and discern where God is leading us, so that our community is faithful to Christ's commission to evangelize the world.
About Me: After I was confirmed, I encountered the living God powerfully through the sacrament of reconciliation, the Church's teachings, and the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. In high school, I began to ask Christ, "What is your plan for my life?" When I heard his call to the priesthood, I was surprised but intrigued. I was ordained in 2014 as a priest of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. I am also a member of the Companions of Christ. Jesus is "the resurrection and the life" for me (John 11:25); I ardently desire that all people would know the power of his resurrected life.
Deacon
Deacon Glenn Skuta
651-470-7572Ministry: I serve in liturgical and sacramental roles: assisting at Mass; preaching homilies; and presiding at baptisms, weddings, and burials. I also teach baptism class and give talks for faith formation programs. I preside at Communion services at two retirement communities.
About Me: While I contemplated a religious vocation in high school, I began to lose my faith in my late twenties. I felt called by the Holy Spirit, through helping a friend through a crisis, to explore the diaconate in my early thirties, and have loved serving in this role ever since. In addition to my volunteer diaconate ministry since 2004, I have worked full time in the environmental protection field for over 30 years.
School Principal
Sean Slaikeu
651-357-1228Ministry: I serve as the principal of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School. I help guide the school staff, teachers and parents to fully meet the mission of our school. It is a great joy to see the smiles and excitement of our students and families as they enter the school.
About Me: I grew up in North Saint Paul, where I attended Saint Peters Catholic School and Church. My school provided many wonderful experiences that allowed me to grow in my Catholic Faith. I am honored to now be the leader of a Catholic school where we continually experience and develop our faith together each day.
Pastoral Associate
Brian Hindt
651-357-1202
I am blessed to oversee Pastoral Ministry and Pastoral Care at Saint Rose of Lima. I am honored to serve alongside countless faith-filled and self-giving parishioners in multiple ministries some of which include Funeral Ministry, Homebound and Senior Care Facility Communion Ministry, Parish Outreach, Faith Sharing groups and New Parishioner Welcome. I am grateful to be the staff liaison for the Hospitality Team, Social Justice Committee, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Respect Life Committee.
About Me: As a child, being taught to pray and the importance of going to Mass set a solid foundation. My parents and Sacred Scripture taught me how to love. A book on St. Padre Pio opened my eyes to the importance of the Mass and Sacraments. Assisting at a homeless ministry allowed me to experience the presence of God amidst those who suffer. Witnessing faith-filled Christians living out their faith taught me what it means to have a personal relationship with God and how to follow Him. Seeing my dad, who was terminally ill, gain unforeseen strength and improved health to live another year and become Catholic after requesting prayers taught me the power of prayer. Reading two saint autobiographies witnessed to me that "God is love" and the importance of trusting in and accepting God’s unconditional love and mercy. My low-points in life taught me that God never leaves us. My time in seminary taught me to “Let go and Let God."
Funeral Coordinator
Jennifer Leuer
651-357-1205Ministry: I serve the Saint Rose of Lima community as the Funeral Coordinator. I assist families as they prepare to lay their loved ones to rest, offering compassion, a listening ear, and reassurance that their loved one will be honored. It is my privilege to serve in this role here at Saint Rose; a community I love so much.
Business Administrator
Joseph Juaire

Ministry: As Business Administrator, I manage the day-to-day operations of the parish. This includes facilities and financial management, human resources, safe environment coordination and staff liaison to the Finance Council and Pastoral Council. My daily interactions with the parishioners and staff bring me great joy and serve as a constant reminder that Christ lives within all of us.
About Me: I grew up on the eastside of St. Paul as a student and parishioner at Sacred Heart. My relationship with our Lord is a direct result of the faithful nurturing and countless prayers from three amazing prayer warriors, my grandmother, my mother, and my wife. I strive each day to live the Christ-filled life that they helped to instill in me.
Administrative Assistant
Brigid Kostka
651-357-1200
Ministry: I offer warm welcome, contribute to the mission of Saint Rose of Lima Parish, and serve others in a caring professional way while keeping the church office humming, organized, and responsive. Being able to greet and welcome a variety of people, support their varied needs and proactively solve problems gives me the feeling that I am applying my gifts as God intended.
About Me: I’ve spent all my life in the Twin Cities and am grateful for all my ‘guides’ in my development as a Catholic – my family, as well as my friends and coworkers. My sense of empathy, my optimistic outlook, and my desire to connect with people, are all rooted in my faith in God. When the sum total of the work we do is boiled down to the bones, my belief is the product of that work has value, but the truly meaningful result of our efforts are the relationships we build along the way. We are each endowed by God with certain gifts, and the goodness of Christ is reflected in the world when each of us put those gifts to their best use. I strive to be Christ-like in serving others, in making a valuable contribution to God’s mission with my life and energy.
Stewardship Coordinator
Ruth Gangl
651-357-1206
Ministry: I keep track of donations to the parish. I update the parish database and reach out to parishioners through calls, emails, and letters. Volunteer counters and I work together each week to count the weekend and holiday collections.
About Me: I grew up on the east side of St. Paul and our high school youth group was very active and kept many of us high school students active in our parish and faith. It certainly was part of my faith foundation. When the Stewardship Coordinator position opened up at Saint Rose, I was wondering what God was calling me to do and here I am. The parishioners of Saint Rose of Lima certainly have been role models in helping my faith grow. "Let your light shine before all; so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Director of Evangelization and Catechesis
Rob Masloski
651-357-1212
Ministry: I oversee all aspects of Faith Formation and ensure that everything we do is helping us to accomplish our mission to make disciples. That includes: coordinating Faith Formation for elementary and junior high students, Sacramental Preparation, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, and Adult Formation. I also work closely with the rest of the Faith Formation Team and assist them in finding success in their own ministries.
About Me: I grew up throughout the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities, and in high school I really came to know and love Christ. Through my relationships with Catholic friends, Eucharistic Adoration, and some incredible opportunities to encounter Jesus on retreat, I eventually felt called by God to work for His Church. As a result, I studied Catechetics and Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, and worked for several years in middle school and high school youth ministry before landing at Saint Rose!
Youth Minister and Confirmation Coordinator
Maria Philips
651-357-1210
Ministry: My ministry goal is simple: to lead young people to Christ! My role as Confirmation Coordinator includes planning a dynamic and thought-provoking curriculum to help young people to engage their Catholic faith. As Youth Minister, I provide opportunities for youth fellowship, faith formation, and prayer.
About Me: Having lived my childhood in West Saint Paul, Minnesota, I experienced Christ's love profoundly through Eucharistic adoration. This experience spurred me to evangelize, and so I ventured across borders to perform faith-based ministry in the Philippines, France, and in fifteen U.S. states. My desire to understand the Catholic faith led me to the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity to complete a Master's in Theology degree. Games, snacks, and Thomistic theology are my areas of expertise.
Faith Formation Administrative Assistant
Kristina Messer
651-357-1209
Ministry: I am a support for all of the Faith Formation families in the Saint Rose community for all questions, registration, and events throughout the year. I also aid the Faith Formation Team with their ministries by helping them with the behind-the-scenes tasks so that they are able to bring God into the lives of our children.
About me: I grew up in a Catholic family where we said our mealtime prayers, our travel Rosaries, went to religion class and our Sunday obligation. It wasn’t until after college that I truly developed my relationship with God and my Catholic faith. It was through volunteering with my parish’s youth ministry programs that I was finally willing to listen to what God was calling me to; to be surrounded by people who are enthusiastic about sharing their faith and God experiences with our youth. My love for Jesus, being Catholic, organizing and making lists has led me to Saint Rose where I have been welcomed with open arms!

Director of Music
Susan Redlinger
651-357-1203Ministry: I serve as Director of Music for the Parish. I oversee three choirs: 30-member Adult Choir, 25-member Funeral Schola, and 15 member Children's Choir, directed by Evy Wang. I serve as accompanist, director, and at times cantor alongside accompanying, for our weekend Liturgies, school Masses, weddings, funerals, and more. I assist in Praise and Worship events when needed. I see my role as music minister during the Mass as two-fold: Joyfully seeking to bring hearts and minds into worship and love for God, our Creator, and providing a space for a deeper Communion with Jesus in the Eucharist and with one another, as the mystical Body of Christ.
About Me: I come from a family of 5 sibling total, and was born and raised in sunny San Diego. I am also an identical twin! I moved to St. Paul in 2021. At an early age, I developed a love for music and for God, which led me to be involved with music ministry at Church in high school. I entered with Carmelite Sisters for a couple years in my early twenties. After leaving Religious Life, I pursued a Music Education degree with an emphasis in voice and graduated in 2019 from San Diego State University. I served as Director of Music at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Poway, CA from 2020-2021 before moving to St. Paul. I served in music ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in St. Paul from 2021-2023, growing in my Spanish skills, which on occasion come in handy at St. Rose. I enjoy bringing the love of Jesus to all those that I meet!

About Me: I grew up on a cattle ranch in South Dakota, where I sang constantly to the cows. I loved classical music from a very young age and always dreamed of being an opera singer. I have a bachelors degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Opera Theater, and thanks to my addiction to over-achieving, I am working towards a Master of Arts in Catholic Studies as well.
