8th Grade Play, CSI: Fairytales May 14-16, 2010
Join the St. Rose 8th grade class for their production of CSI: Fairytales. Once upon a time...the characters we all know and love were lving in fairytale land, until a disgruntled fairytale character wanted a story rewritten, and to make sure it happened, too "Happily Ever After" hostage. Join Fairy Godmother and the characters of our youth for this Grimm look at fairytales! The performances are Friday, May 14, 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 15, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 16, 11:30 a.m. General admission tickets $5 at the door.

St. Rose Kids Sale April 9-10, 2010
On April 9-10, 2010, St. Rose will hold it's first ever Kids Sale. DONATIONS STILL NEEDED AND VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! Help support our school by donating gently used kids clothes sizes 0-14, toys, games, books/media or baby/kid gear that your children have outgrown (we cannot accept cribs, high chairs, car seats, infant swings or walkers).
NEW-You can drop your donated items off at St. Rose School. Stop by the office during school hours and they will direct you to the drop location. Drops can also be made at anytime to 1911 Simpson Street (leave on back patio) or 1995 Evergreen Court (leave on front stoop). Tax deductible receipts are available at all locations.
Sale hours are 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 and 9 a.m. - Noon on Sunday, April 10.
100% of the sale proceeds benefit St. Rose School.

Congratulations, Graduates!
On Wednesday evening, June 3rd, the 2008-2009 eighth grade class celebrated their graduation with a mass and reception. The forty eighth graders will be missed as a class. They have been wonderful role models for the younger students and have captured the spirit of Saint Rose. We wish them well in their new high schools!

St. Rose Students Interviewed for Internet News Reel
Several St. Rose students were featured in an internet news article entitiled "Kids and the Economy." The students, from the Elementary and Middle schools, were recently interviewed by Internet News Broadcasting Inc. STARBASE Minnesota Welcomes St. Rose Fourth Graders
The St. Rose of Lima fourth grade class was selected to participate in STARBASE Minnesota, an exciting and rigorous week-long science, math, technology, and engineering program. From April 16 through April 22, our fourth graders experimented and explored the wonders of flight and space at the Minnesota Air National Guard Base. State Geography Bee
St. Rose sixth grader Jack Schugel qualified to represent our school in the state level of the National Geographic Bee. The state bee took place at St. Cloud State University on Friday, April 3. Jack won our school contest back in January and then passed a test to get into this next level of competition. Congratulations, Jack!

“The History of Rock and Roll & Pop Culture”
Saint Rose School is thrilled to welcome musical artist Soli Hughes for a two-week residency with our middle school students. Soli is presenting “The History of Rock and Roll & Pop Culture,” bringing to life rock and roll and pop culture from the 1950s to the present. Live activities, discussion of social-cultural influences and their historic shape/effects on present day music are key elements. A culminating presentation is scheduled for Friday, March 13th, at 12:15 p.m., and all are welcome to attend.
