INFORMATION FOR FOOD SHELF VOLUNTEERS

Saint Rose of Lima is pleased and proud to have a large group of parish volunteers who assist clients and stock shelves in the Keystone Community Services Food Shelf at Fairview Community Center, 1910 West County Road B, Roseville.

Volunteers work Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8:30 PM. Training is provided by Keystone and scheduling is done through the Saint Rose Faith Formation Office. For a current volunteer schedule click here. If you would like additional information about this outreach, please contact Faith Formation Director, Deborah McPherson, at 651-357-1212.

To Donate Food: On the first weekend of every month, parishioners are encouraged to bring food donations with them to Mass, and deposit them on the altar steps before the Liturgy begins. In addition, food can be brought to Saint Rose Church before any scheduled daily or Sunday mass and left in boxes at our N.E. or S.E. entrances.

To Receive Food from a Keystone Food Shelf: Visit the Keystone website at www.keystonecommunityservices.org or call Basic Needs Director, Christine Pulver, at 651-487-2792, ext.102.

Meals on Wheels – Spend an hour and a half every three weeks (Tuesday) as a volunteer driver for our Meals-on Wheels team. Saint Rose of Lima participates, along with other congregations, in delivering noon meals to area seniors and disabled adults. Seasonal, substitute, and standby driver are needed to fulfill our parish’s commitment to this vital ministry. Contact Ruth Ryan, 651-772-9219. J

Loaves & Fishes - Our parish provides a nutritious and satisfying meal the third Thursday of every month at St. Matthew's parish dining hall in the west-side neighborhood of St. Paul. We need bakers, cooks, servers and shoppers to feed up to 150 guests for our supper. Our sponsor, Loaves and Fishes, has served the Twin Cities for the past 25 years. Last year all the volunteer serving teams served well over 300,000 guests at eight dining sites. Contact: Charles Johnson, 651-917-3422.
